SPUCCRA SPARTAN PROGRAM

Many of us know the story of King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans who held the pass of Thermopylae for three days against the might of the entire Persian army seeking to invade Greece in 480 BC. An inspirational example of what can be achieved by a comparatively small group of fundamentally committed like minded people. 

Likewise, our Spartan program seeks 300 people who are prepared to make an ongoing stand together to be part of the IBD solution. To be a member of our 300 we ask that you simply sign up to the program and make a tax deductible donation of $1000. But that you do so on the basis that you will stand with us and commit to making that same annual donation for as long as you are able to. There will be no contracts, just a personal commitment to stand alongside your fellow parents, relatives, carers and philanthropists for as long as you are able.

Some will need to drop out after year one and the same will happen each year after that. They will step down with our gratitude and respect. Those of us remaining will look for new "spartans" to step up and fill the gaps as required.

Every member of the Spartan Program (past and present) will be identified on this website. In due course we also intend to have a function specifically for the 300 both to thank them personally but also to report to them on outcomes being achieved as a result of their commitment.

Once fully subscribed this baseline year on year revenue stream of $300,000 will enable essential longitudinal research programs that simply cannot be undertaken without guaranteed long term secure funding.
